A.O. Badman was born in Yacka, S.A. on 18 December 1885. He took over his father's farm in 1903 and experimented with new wheat varieties, introduced several new strains. He was President of the Country Party of S.A. in 1931 and was active in uniting the Liberal Country League. He was Senator (S.A.) from 1931-1937 when he resigned to enter the House of Representatives for Grey. He was defeated in 1943. Badman died in 1977. From the description of Papers. 1943-1974.
